A well-designed home quietly shapes everyday life—how easily we begin the morning, how comfortably we gather, and how settled we feel when we return. This relationship between our surroundings and our daily lives is what draws me to residential design.

I’m Türkan Yılmaz,

an interior architectural designer and the founder of Depth Design Studio.

With a degree in architecture, I began my career in Istanbul, spending a decade on workplace design and build projects from concept to completion. This grounded my practice in spatial planning, technical understanding and careful attention to detail.

Living and working across Istanbul, California and London broadened my understanding of what makes a home feel right, shaped by different cultures, daily rhythms and high-end residential work in London. Depth Design Studio brings these experiences together, guided by my belief that thoughtful interiors begin with understanding the people who live in them. Each project starts with how a space is used, how it should feel, and how it can support everyday life over time. Spatial planning establishes the foundation; proportion, light, materials and furnishings are considered together to create a coherent whole.

Whether working on a single room online or a complete home, my aim is the same: to create calm, personal interiors that feel naturally connected to the lives unfolding within them—considered in every detail, comfortable to inhabit, and enduring in their appeal.
